When I get a craving for a specific food, I think about all the times that I've eaten what I was craving and still felt dissatisfied. I remind myself that nothing ever tastes like I imagine it, so therefore, instead of giving in and eating what I'm craving, I IMAGINE that I'm eating what I want. This exercise in imagination not only helps me avoid eating excess calories, but afterward, I no longer feel hungry because I've told myself that I've already eaten. Try it some time. The key is to NOT GIVE IN to those fantasies though. Let your mind binge, not your body!
